The rules that govern Nagaland Me Experts. Please read carefully before using the platform.

1. Introduction

Welcome to Nagaland Me Experts (“Platform”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website located at experts.nagaland.me, including all services, features, and content offered through the Platform.

Nagaland Me Experts is operated by Nagaland Me, a registered business with GST number 13DIHPA5679B1ZK, located at HN 09, Purna Bazar, Dimapur, Nagaland, India.

By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

2. Definitions

For the purpose of these Terms:

“Platform” means the Nagaland Me Experts marketplace at experts.nagaland.me.
“Buyer” means any person or entity that purchases services through the Platform.
“Expert” or “Seller” means any verified independent service provider listed on the Platform.
“Service” or “Gig” means any package of work offered by an Expert through the Platform.
“Order” means a confirmed purchase of a Service by a Buyer.
“Escrow” means the holding of Buyer payments by our payment processor (Razorpay) until released according to these Terms.
“Commission” means the platform fee charged on completed Orders.

3. Eligibility

To use Nagaland Me Experts, you must:

Be at least 18 years old
Have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts under Indian law
Not be barred from using the Platform under applicable laws
Provide accurate and complete registration information
Maintain the security of your account credentials

4. Account Registration

To purchase or sell Services, you must create an account. You agree to:

Provide accurate, current, and complete information
Maintain and update your information as needed
Keep your password secure and confidential
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
Be responsible for all activity under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. The Marketplace Model

Nagaland Me Experts is a facilitating marketplace. We connect Buyers with independent Experts. We do not provide the Services ourselves and are not party to the contract between Buyer and Expert, except as a facilitator and escrow holder.

While we vet Experts before approval, the actual service quality, delivery, and outcome is the responsibility of the individual Expert. We provide trust, safety, payment protection, and dispute resolution — but we do not guarantee any specific outcome of any Service.

6. Expert Onboarding & Verification

All Experts must complete the following before being approved:

Submit a valid PAN card
Provide bank account or UPI details for payouts
Submit a government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar, Voter ID, or Passport)
Provide proof of past work / portfolio
Pass our manual review process

We reserve the right to reject any application without providing a reason.

7. Listing Services

Approved Experts may list Services on the Platform subject to the following rules:

Service prices must be between ₹199 and ₹9,999 (v1 limits)
Services must fall within our 8 launch categories
Listings must accurately describe what the Buyer will receive
Delivery times must be realistic and met
No duplicate listings or spam
No prohibited content (see Section 14)

We reserve the right to remove any listing that violates these Terms.

8. Payments & Escrow

All payments are processed through Razorpay, a licensed payment aggregator regulated by the Reserve Bank of India.

When a Buyer places an Order:

The full amount is charged to the Buyer’s payment method
The platform commission is settled to Nagaland Me’s account
The remaining amount is held in escrow against the Expert’s linked account
Funds remain in escrow until the Order is approved, auto-released, or refunded per Section 10

Buyers acknowledge that funds are not held by Nagaland Me directly but by Razorpay under its RBI-licensed payment aggregator framework.

9. Platform Commission

Nagaland Me charges a commission on every completed Order:

Standard commission: 15% of the Order value
Founding Expert promotion: 0% for the first 3 months for the first 20 approved Experts
Commission is deducted automatically at the time of payment
GST is charged on the commission as required by Indian law

The commission percentage may be revised with 30 days’ notice to Experts.

10. Order Lifecycle

Every Order moves through the following stages:

Paid: Buyer has paid; funds are held in escrow
In Progress: Expert is performing the work
Delivered: Expert has marked the Order as delivered
Completed: Buyer has approved the work, OR 5 days have passed since delivery without Buyer action (auto-release)
Disputed: Either party has opened a dispute (see Section 11)
Cancelled / Refunded: The Order is closed without payment release

Auto-release rule: If a Buyer does not respond within 5 days of the Expert marking the Order as delivered, the system will automatically mark the Order as completed and release the held funds to the Expert.

11. Disputes

Either party may open a dispute on any active Order. The dispute process works as follows:

The disputing party clicks “Open Dispute” on the Order page and provides a reason
Both parties have 48 hours to upload supporting evidence
Our admin team reviews the case within 3–5 business days
We issue one of the following decisions: full refund, partial refund, force redelivery, or release to Expert
All decisions are final unless new evidence emerges

By using the Platform, you agree to accept the outcome of our dispute resolution process as binding.

12. Reviews

After an Order is completed, both Buyer and Expert may leave reviews. Reviews are dual-blind — they remain hidden until both parties have reviewed (or 7 days pass), then both publish simultaneously.

Reviews must be honest, factual, and free from personal attacks, profanity, or false information. We reserve the right to remove reviews that violate these standards.

13. Off-Platform Communication

To protect both parties and ensure all transactions are covered by escrow, the following are strictly prohibited:

Sharing personal contact information (phone, email, social media) in messages before an Order is placed
Conducting payment outside the Platform
Bypassing the Platform’s commission
Soliciting Buyers or Experts to move to other platforms

Violations may result in account suspension or permanent termination.

14. Prohibited Content & Conduct

You may not use the Platform to:

Offer or request illegal services
Engage in fraud, deception, or misrepresentation
Post content that is hateful, harassing, or discriminatory
Violate intellectual property rights
Distribute malware, viruses, or harmful code
Attempt unauthorized access to other accounts or our systems
Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools without permission
Impersonate another person or entity
Engage in any activity that violates Indian law

15. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform — including logos, design, code, text, and graphics — is owned by Nagaland Me or licensed to us. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reuse any of it without our written permission.

When an Order is completed, the intellectual property of the delivered work transfers to the Buyer unless explicitly stated otherwise in the Service description.

16. Data & Privacy

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We comply with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

17. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nagaland Me shall not be liable for:

Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
Service quality issues caused by individual Experts
Disputes between Buyers and Experts beyond our resolution process
Service interruptions caused by third-party providers (Razorpay, Hostinger, etc.)

Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid by the Buyer for the Order in question.

18. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Nagaland Me, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Platform or violation of these Terms.

19. Account Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without notice, if you:

Violate these Terms
Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
Receive multiple disputes or negative reviews
Attempt to circumvent the Platform’s commission or rules
Pose a risk to other users or the Platform

Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ends immediately. Pending Orders will be resolved according to standard procedures.

20. Modifications to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the Platform at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance.

21. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Dimapur, Nagaland, India.
