- Profile information: Profile photo, bio, languages spoken, location
- Expert verification data: PAN card, government photo ID, bank account details, portfolio samples
- Communication data: Messages sent through the Platform, support requests
- Transaction data: Order history, payment records, refund records
3.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you use the Platform, we automatically collect:
- Device information: IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers
- Usage data: Pages visited, time spent, click patterns, referral sources
- Cookies and similar technologies (see Section 9)
3.3 Information from Third Parties

- Razorpay: Payment confirmations and transaction status
- Email and SMS providers: Delivery confirmations
- Analytics services: Aggregated usage data

- To process payments: Charging Buyers, holding funds in escrow, paying out to Experts
- To verify identity: Especially for Experts during the KYC and approval process
- To resolve disputes: Reviewing evidence and making fair decisions
- To communicate: Sending Order updates, receipts, support responses, important announcements
- To improve the Platform: Analyzing usage patterns, fixing bugs, building new features
- To prevent fraud: Detecting suspicious activity and protecting users
- To comply with law: Meeting our legal and regulatory obligations
5. Legal Basis for Processing
Under the DPDP Act, we process your personal data based on:
- Consent: You have given explicit consent for specified purposes
- Contract performance: Processing is necessary to provide the services you requested

6. Sharing Your Information

6.1 Other Users on the Platform
When you place an Order, the Expert sees your name, profile photo, Order details, and any messages or files you share. When an Expert delivers an Order, the Buyer sees the Expert’s name, profile, and delivery.
6.2 Service Providers
We share data with trusted third parties that help us operate the Platform:
- Razorpay: For payment processing, escrow, and KYC verification
- Hostinger: For website hosting
- Email and SMS providers: For sending notifications
- WhatsApp Business API: For messaging notifications
- Analytics providers: For aggregated usage analytics
All service providers are bound by confidentiality agreements and use your data only for the specified purpose.
6.3 Legal Disclosures
We may disclose your information when required by law, including:
- To comply with court orders, subpoenas, or legal processes
- To respond to lawful requests from public authorities
- To protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of others
- In connection with investigations of fraud or illegal activity
6.4 Business Transfers
If Nagaland Me is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owner. You will be notified before any such transfer.
7. Data Retention
We keep your personal data only as long as needed:
- Account data: While your account is active, plus 90 days after deletion
- Order records: 7 years (for tax and accounting compliance)
- KYC documents: 7 years (for legal compliance)
- Communication logs: 2 years
- Support tickets: 1 year after closure
- Marketing data: Until you withdraw consent
After the retention period, we securely delete or anonymize your data.
8. Your Rights Under DPDP Act 2023
As a Data Principal, you have the following rights:

Nagaland Me Experts is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we discover that a child has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately.

The Platform is operated from India and primarily serves users in India. If you access the Platform from outside India, your data will be transferred to and processed in India.
